USC is the original BAL Camp! Designed for high school and entry level college officials working 3 person mechanics. Challenge your officiating skills with some of the best HS Varsity Basketball.
The UC Riverside Camp focuses on those officials who are starting their journey in officiating. This camp will provide you with the one on one instruction in 2 and 3 person mechanics.

Bill Spooner
Camp Director
“Spoonman” (nickname) has been officiating for over 35 years. Of those, 21 have been spent officiating in the NBA as a regular season & playoff official. His resume consists of playoff and championship games at many levels. Bill is a practical - no hype teacher in the 'craft' of refereeing with a wealth of experience & knowledge from high school to the pros. |
Bill Kennedy
Camp Clinician
Arizona resident, Bill Kennedy has enjoyed officiating for the past 24 years. He has spent the last 12 years as an NBA official. Bill has enjoyed working the NBA playoffs the last 6 years. His journey has brought him through various leagues including the CBA, WNBA and FIBA. |
Rodney Mott
Camp Clinician
Rodney currently resides in Nevada but is a native of Buffalo, NY. He is a 13 year veteran NBA official & has been working playoff games for the past few years. Working his way to the NBA brought Rodney through the CBA for 5 years. Rodney played Division I basketball at San Diego State University. He has been a veteran clinician at numerous camps through the years. |

Please understand that there is a lot of work, time and preparation that goes into getting camp, campers, packets, rosters, games, guest and instructors organized. Once your payment has been received there will be a $75 NON-REFUNDABLE fee. Once the packets are sent out, NO REFUNDS will be issued. If you cannot attend your scheduled camp date(s), please contact us immediately.
